Office flip

If you didn’t see the older post “Old Bedroom-New Office” visit the link before reading on.

This project started sometime in early January and finally became workable space Saturday March 29th.

But before we could move her desk in, I needed to remanufacture part of the old desk. The original desk we bought when we moved into the house arrived damaged. The company told us to throw it away, and they would replace it. They did, however the top was good enough to use. So at the time we mounted one end to the wall and built a legs for the other end, which made it a “Wing” for the new replacement desk.

However, the plan is to have the desk sit in the middle of the room, which would not allow the wing to be supported by the wall. So I built a cabinet/base for that old top, thus recreating the wing as a stand-alone desk.

3/4” Cabinet grade Birch Plywood. Pocket Holes to join the sides and top. Cut out two rectangle holes too create air circulation for the computer and the uninterruptable power supply (UPS).
