My daughter asked for a china hutch/cabinet at Christmas. So when we visited in late March we finalized the thoughts and concepts of what she wanted and started building.
The original thought was I would have time to get the base cabinet completed prior to our next trip.
However the cabinet finished with about 2 1/2 weeks left before our trip in May.
So, off to the shop to start the hutch portion of the project.
Applied 6 coats of polyurethane and Done!
Just one problem. With the cover on the truck, to protect from any type of weather for the 8 hour drive, it would not fit in the truck assembled.
Yep, you guessed it, apart it came.
Packed in the truck and ready to head to South Bend, Indiana.
After getting up at 4:00 AM to leave at 5:00 AM, and an 8 hour drive, it was time for re-assemble.
With help from my son-in-law
We got it back together in about 2 hours, installed the glass in the doors, attached handles and knobs.
REALLY DONE now!
AND yes, its grandaughter approved
