why choose us

We pay attention to the details

From the very beginning of each project, we’re focused on creating a piece that will be treasured for a long time. We work diligently to ensure the product is exactly as our clients imagined, encouraging ideas and images so we can incorporate them into the build.

Every project is designed in Sketchup, a three-dimensional software program. This allows us to work closely with the client on the details, including the exact size of the piece, the construction, hardware, and finishing of the build.

Custom Woodworking

Furniture Builds

We start from scratch, building exactly to the customers specifications with locally-sourced wood. Including dining tables, kitchen islands, midcentury modern side boards, entry benches, cabinets, and bookshelves.

Custom Pieces

These are the projects that require a bit more creativity to find a solution. Whether it’s building a unique-sized piece, or incorporating a special wood into a piece we enjoy the challenge.

Preserving Memories

Creating a new piece of furniture using old furniture bases or old wood is another challenge we enjoy. Whether we are restoring a piece destroyed by nature or saving a family heirloom – we’re ready to brainstorm ideas and decide the best solution for your special piece.

Live-Edge Furniture

Real wood is beautiful in its imperfection. The uniqueness allows us to create furniture that are pieces of art from nature. When we find these pieces we work hard to capture and preserve the wood into a useful item, each one a custom piece, telling its story in the imperfections of the grain and knots. Keep an eye on our product page to find your special piece.

Tennessee Red Cedar Products

We source our cedar from Grant Cedar Mill, a local source in Middle Tennessee. We use this wood for most of our outdoor projects including our famous Adirondack chairs, outdoor garden benches, and planters. Over the years we have discovered cedar holds up best to the hot Tennessee sun by sealing the wood with Tung Oil.

Real wood, Sourced Locally

The lumber we use comes from locally owned lumber mills in Middle Tennessee, not big box stores. We hand-pick the rough cut, kiln dried lumber we need, and prepare it for each project with our jointer and planer.

Lumber options include; maple, red oak, white oak, walnut, cherry, alder, and poplar. The wood can be stained and finished with our special hand-wiped poly, or if preferred we apply our poly and bring out the true rich, colors right from the wood.
