This handmade pine iron board was created years ago by my clients grandfather for his wife. After years of use it ended up in an old barn where it sat. When my client saw it he determined to save it. So he asked me to create a console table with it. The goal was to not lose the character but replace the broken parts and make it useful.

In the video I talk about the bowties I put in the board. this link explains the installation -https://youtu.be/JjQtAgb3iTA?si=dmf59oraCNRwM76f

This project is a handmade wooden iron board built by my clients grandfather. My client wants to preserve the memories by turning it into a console table. The first step is to stop any of the cracks from destroying what is left.
To do that, I turn to @slabstitcher bowties as inlays that span the cracks. "The quickest way to Stitch wood and install Inlays"

I refer to filling the gaps with @titebond glue and sanding with the dust system turned off. The glue I use is TITEBOND QUICK & THICK MULTI-SURFACE GLUE. It accepts the saw dust and dries clear to allow it to blend into the surrounding wood.

Side note -- I apologize for the sometimes wobbly video - I was trying to hold my phone while balancing on my newly total knee replacement.

Time to test my new knee. I am 29 days post op from TKR and its time to smell some saw dust. It's gonna take some time and I have to take it slow, but let me introduce you to the first projects I will start with.
Turn a handmade, antique iron board into a console table.
Next, disassemble a piano and turn it into a dining table bench. I mention its from Oregon, but its Oregon, Ill
I mention in the video the team that delivered the piano. The team from @dawggonemoveit set it on the floor of my shop like it was a feather.
