While in design they are the same, in the variety of wood they are uniquely different. They rest at an angle with a stand that rotates into the back of the stand so they can be easily hung on a wall to be out of the way when not in use. They will hold a recipe book, or any type of tablet such as iPad or Android device for using online recipes. The logs were rescued after the 2021 Christmas week tornado here in Chandler Point of Mt Juliet, TN before they could be sent to the landfill or mulching machines. They were slabbed and the wood allowed to air dry for better than a year.
The top was then created from the logs, sanded smooth and set onto a base with wood from Grant Cedar mill here in middle TN.
Black walnut bow ties added for wood stability and color enhancement/contrast
5 coats of wiping polyurethane were applied for durability and protection.
