I received an email from a client asking if I could make 4 barstools of out some of his old baseball mlb bats. I attempt to discuss and show the process I went through to build these stools. The holes are drilled at 11 degrees with my drill press. The bats are cut at the same angle. I allowed the bats to protrude through the seats and then used a pull saw to flush trim them. I created a blog explaining as much of the process as possible on my website. That blog will be posted shortly. I have an island with 6 drawers and need to install drawer fronts. Not a hard job, but I found that the @KregToolCompany drawer front mounting system makes the job easier. There are shims that help with the spacing if you stacked drawers or a drawer above a door and need accurate spacing. Because these are only single drawers I could not use them so I made and clamped a spacer that gave me the 1/2" I needed on the bottom. This also worked great to hold the front on while I clamped it in place. When I need an extra hand putting box type projects together I pull out the Woodpeckers BC4-M2 Box Clamp. Final bat post (well maybe) I used for @zingerbats fungo bats to create this bedside table for my client. The to is created using black walnut and finished with @rubiomonocoatusa pure finish.
