The logs were rescued after the 2021 Christmas week tornado here in Chandler Point of Mt Juliet, TN before they could be sent to the landfill or mulching machines. They were slabbed and the wood allowed to air dry for better than a year.
The top was then created from the logs, sanded smooth and set onto a base with wood from Grant Cedar mill here in middle TN.
Black walnut bow ties added for wood stability and color enhancement/contrast
5 coats of wiping polyurethane were applied for durability and protection.
